Soybeans are a widely consumed legume, essential in Western diets and especially prominent in vegan and vegetarian nutrition. However, environmental contamination from anthropogenic sources, such as industrial emissions, wastewater, and pesticide use, has led to the accumulation of non-essential and toxic elements in legumes, potentially impacting human health. This study quantified the levels of 11 potential toxic elements (Al, B, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Li, Ni, Pb, Sr, V) in 90 samples of four soybean species (, , , ) using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).

In this work, the solubilization of hydrocarbons in type V HNADESs (non-ionic organic molecules) formed by mixing carvone, a natural monoterpenoid, with organic acids (hexanoic to decanoic acids) is examined by applying both experimental and theoretical approaches. The synthesis and physicochemical characterization of different HNADESs allowed us to tailor their properties, aiming for optimal interactions with desired hydrocarbons.

However, class-Ic drugs might be proarrhythmic in some cases. We investigated the molecular mechanisms of class-I AADs proarrhythmia and whether they might increase the risk of death in ATS1 patients with structurally normal hearts.

The SRealCLL study described the occurrence of adverse events (AEs) and healthcare resource utilization in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) using artificial intelligence in a real-world scenario in Spain. We collected real-world data on patients with CLL from seven Spanish hospitals between January 2016 and December 2018, focusing on their AE and healthcare service utilization. Data extraction from electronic health records of 385,904 patients was performed using the EHRead technology, which is based on natural language processing and machine learning.
