Background: Men's access to sexual health care is influenced by the nurses' symbolic universes, translated into maps of signification and normative idealization that structure their practices.

Aim: The aim of the study was to analyze nurses' social representations of men's sexual health, considering the barriers and possibilities in accessing health care.

Methods: Descriptive study with qualitative approach.

Vascular Plug Embolization of a Superior Mesenteric Arteriovenous Fistula: Case Report and Literature Review of Endovascular Treatment.

Introduction: Arteriovenous fistula (AVF) rarely occurs in the portal venous system. Aetiologies include iatrogenic, surgical, and penetrating trauma of the abdomen. Clinical manifestations of superior mesenteric portal arteriovenous fistula (SMPAVF) are right heart failure, mesenteric ischaemia, or signs of portal hypertension.

Fusion imaging for pulmonary artery embolization: impact on fluoroscopy duration and contrast agent exposure.

Objectives: To assess the impact of fusion imaging guidance on fluoroscopy duration and volume of contrast agent used for pulmonary artery embolization.

Methods: Thirty-four consecutive patients who underwent pulmonary artery embolization for pulmonary arterio-venous malformation ( = 28) or hemoptysis ( = 6) were retrospectively included. In the experimental group ( = 15), patients were treated using fusion imaging with 2D/3D registration.

Clinical Nutrition in Portuguese Gastroenterology Departments: A Multicentric Study.

Background: Hospital nutrition is a major public health problem, as up to 50% of hospitalized patients suffer from undernutrition. Adequate nutritional support (NS) decreases morbidity/mortality, shortens the length of stay, and reduces costs. We aimed to evaluate the engagement of Portuguese gastroenterology departments in NS, especially in artificial nutrition (AN).

Hepatitis C antibody prevalence and behavioral correlates in people who inject drugs attending harm reduction services in Lisbon, Portugal.

The hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is an important public health problem, affecting millions of people worldwide. People who inject drugs (PWID) are at increased risk of HCV infection due to, among other factors, widespread unsafe injecting practices, such as sharing of infected equipment or unprotected sexual practices. In Portugal, there is a lack of data regarding the proportion of infected persons through injecting drug use.
