The 18e saturated rhodium(III) species [Rh(H)(X)(κ2-NSitBu2)(bipyMe2)] (NSitBu2 = {4-methylpyridine-2-yloxy}ditertbutylsilyl; bipyMe2 = 4,4´-dimethylbipyridine) (X = Cl, 1; OTf, 2) have been prepared and characterized by NMR spectroscopy and in the case of 2 it has been possible to determine its solid-state structure by X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 has proven to be an effective catalyst precursor for the reaction of styrene derivatives with hydrosilanes in CD2Cl2. However, under catalytic conditions complex 2 decomposes.

The chemistry of transition-metal (TM) complexes with monoanionic bidentate (κ-L,Si) silyl ligands has considerably grown in recent years. This work summarizes the advances in the chemistry of TM-(κ-L,Si) complexes (L=N-heterocycle, phosphine, N-heterocyclic carbene, thioether, ester, silylether or tetrylene). The most common synthetic method has been the oxidative addition of the Si-H bond to the metal center assisted by the coordination of L.

Introduction: Glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK-3) has been proposed as a novel cancer target due to its regulating role in both tumor and immune cells. However, the connection between GSK-3 and immunoevasive contexture, including tumor budding (TB) has not been previously examined.

Methods: we investigated the expression levels of total GSK-3 as well as its isoforms (GSK-3β and GSK-3α) and examined their potential correlation with TB grade and the programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) in colorectal cancer (CRC) tumor samples.
