Objectives: To evaluate the short-term safety and efficacy of vaginal hysterectomy with cervical preservation in patients with genital prolapse stages II to IV.
Materials And Methods: This is a descriptive case series study. It included women with genital prolapse stages II to IV, indicated for vaginal hysterectomy, with negative cervicovaginal cytology for malignancy, who underwent subtotal vaginal hysterectomy with suspension of the cervical stump to the sacrospinous ligament between June 1 and December 31, 2023, at a high-complexity general clinic.
Introduction: Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is a condition associated with massive postpartum bleeding and maternal mortality. Management guidelines published in high income countries recommend the participation of interdisciplinary teams in hospitals with sufficient resources for performing complex procedures. View Article and Find Full Text PDFGas chromatography fatty acid (FA) analysis of 112 milk fat samples from dairy goats fed a basal diet with no added oil or the same diet with 1 of 3 vegetable oils added [high oleic sunflower oil (HOSFO), regular sunflower oil (RSFO), or linseed oil (LO)] was used to identify the type of diet consumed through linear discriminant analysis. Twenty variables (19 FA and 1 FA ratio) were selected as valid predictors out of 84 variables tested. The Mahalanobis squared distance was minimal between HOSFO and RSFO groups and maximal between control and LO groups.

After endoscopic tests, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration, exploratory laparoscopy was performed to provide the diagnosis, revealing mucin throughout the peritoneal cavity and nodules on the parietal and visceral peritoneum.
