The obtained results were compared with those in a control group. Low-molecular dextran caused a statistically significant decrease of the serum lipid-bound phosphorus level in healthy subjects and in patients, which was most pronounced on the sixth day of successive dextran administration, while it had no effect on serum inorganic phosphorus in the studied subjects.
