Background: Hemorrhagic cystitis (HC) is a serious complication following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Early identification of at-risk patients and prompt diagnosis are crucial for effective management. This prospective cohort study evaluated the potential of uroflowmetry as a predictive tool for detecting HC in pediatric HSCT patients.

Background: Leukemia necessitates continuous research for effective therapeutic techniques. Acute leukemia (AL) patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) focus on key outcomes such as overall survival (OS), relapse, and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the capability of machine learning (ML) models in predicting OS, relapse, and GVHD in AL patients post-allo-HSCT.

Objectives: Natural killer (NK) cells are the most professional innate immune cells that initiate extracellular apoptosis via cytotoxic granules in malignant cells. Antitumoral properties of NK-derived exosomes (Exos) are attributed to their parent cells. Loading drugs into Exos as a carrier can enhance their effect and enable targeted delivery.

Objective: Despite the advances in treatment, breast cancer (BC) remains a major cause of death in women. This study aims to evaluate the prognostic significance of detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and disseminated tumor cells (DTCs) in paired peripheral blood (PB) and bone marrow (BM) samples obtained both before and after adjuvant chemotherapy from patients with operable BC.

Materials And Methods: In this experimental study, from 160 patients with primary BC, we collected 160 PB and BM samples before and we could be able to collect PB and BM samples from 100 of them after adjuvant chemotherapy.

Background: There are currently no laboratory tests that can accurately predict the likelihood of developing acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD), a patient's response to treatment, or their survival chance. This research aimed to establish circulating miRNAs as diagnostic, prognostic, or predictive biomarkers of aGVHD.

Methods: In a prospective cohort, we studied the incidence of cutaneous aGVHD in AML patients undergoing allo-HSCT at Shariati Hospital in Tehran, Iran during 2020-2023.
