A case of postpneumonectomy syndrome in a 50 years old patient, operated for right sided bronchiectasis 40 years ago, is presented. The clinical course and radiological features of the syndrome are described.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFElemental mercury embolism to the lung - a case report A case of deliberate parenteral self-injection of elemental mercury in a drug-addict 18 years old man is presented. Chest x-ray films showed mercury deposits in the lungs, as well as around the injection site. At follow-up at 2 years, he was well, with none of the renal, gastrointestinal, or neurologic effects that can result from the oxidation of mercury.
