Background: In Catalonia, infants <6 months old were eligible to receive nirsevimab, a novel monoclonal antibody against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). We aimed to analyze nirsevimab's effectiveness in hospital-related outcomes of the seasonal cohort (born during the RSV epidemic from October to January 2024) and compared them with the catch-up cohort (born from April to September 2023).
Methods: Retrospective cohort study of all infants born between October 1, 2023, and January 21, 2024, according to their immunization with nirsevimab (immunized and nonimmunized).
Background: Virtual simulation is increasingly used for aneurysm treatment. This study aimed to explore whether mechanical behavior biomarkers of the Woven EndoBridge (WEB) device as computed by Sim&Size simulation software were associated with aneurysmal occlusion status at follow-up.
Methods: Consecutive patients with aneurysms treated with WEB were retrospectively enrolled (January 2014 to December 2021).
Marine microbial communities differ genetically, metabolically, and ecologically according to their lifestyle, and they may respond differently to environmental changes. In this study, we investigated the seasonal dynamics of bacterial assemblies in the free-living (FL) and particle-associated (PA) fractions across a span of 6 years in the Blanes Bay Microbial Observatory in the Northwestern Mediterranean. Both lifestyles showed marked seasonality.

It is therefore crucial to understand normal brain development and how early connections are established during these periods, in order to advance the state of knowledge on altered brain development and eventually identify early brain markers of neurodevelopmental disorders and diseases. In this systematic review (Prospero ID: CRD42024511365), we compiled resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies in healthy fetuses and neonates, in order to outline the main characteristics of typical development of the functional brain connectivity during the prenatal and neonatal periods.
