Severe infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria have underscored the urgent need for innovative treatment approaches. Novel antimicrobials like cefiderocol have emerged as effective options, but their use in children remains largely unexplored. In this brief report, we describe a severe case of sepsis in a child with an oncohematological disease, caused by a highly drug-resistant strain of Klebsiella pneumoniae.
