Purpose: To evaluate MRI and histological concordance in prostate cancer (PCa) identification via mapped transperineal biopsies.

Methodology: Retrospective per-lesion analysis of patients undergoing MRI and transperineal biopsy at the Valencian Institute of Oncology (2016-2024) using CAPROSIVO PCa data. Patients underwent MRI, with or without regions of interest (ROI), followed by transperineal biopsies (3-5 cores/ROI, 20-30 systematic).

Elicited emotion: effects of inoculation of an art style on emotionally strong images.

The objective of this research is to study how the application of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) artistic filter can be an alternative to mitigate the emotional response to photographs with strong emotional content published in Internet news. Van Gogh's artistic style was extracted through a CNN and inoculated with 64 IAPS images chosen to cover the entire emotional space. 140 university students of both sexes (70 men and 70 women) with an average age of 22 years, evaluated 128 stimuli, 64 original and 64 digitally inoculated, giving the appearance that they were painted with the artistic style of Van Gogh.

Establishing a European wastewater pathogen monitoring network employing aviation samples: a proof of concept.

This paper proposes a European wastewater pathogen monitoring network using aircraft and airport samples as a proof of concept for an effective cross-national surveillance system. Genetic subtyping by Whole Exome Sequencing across Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma and Plasmablastic Lymphoma.

Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogeneous disease characterized by a limited number of molecularly defined subtypes. Recently, genomic-based algorithms have been proposed for the classification of this disease. The whole exome sequencing was conducted on 108 diagnostic samples of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

Variation in wood density across South American tropical forests.

Wood density is a critical control on tree biomass, so poor understanding of its spatial variation can lead to large and systematic errors in forest biomass estimates and carbon maps. The need to understand how and why wood density varies is especially critical in tropical America where forests have exceptional species diversity and spatial turnover in composition. As tree identity and forest composition are challenging to estimate remotely, ground surveys are essential to know the wood density of trees, whether measured directly or inferred from their identity.
