[Liquid biopsy in diagnosis of central nervous system tumors].

Unlabelled: Tumor tissue samples are necessary for histological diagnosis. Biopsy is associated with certain difficulties, especially in neuro-oncology. An alternative approach (liquid biopsy) is currently being developed.

Blood Flow Capacity Assessment of End-to-Side Arterial Anastomosis In Vivo in Rats.

 The aim of this article was to assess the flow capacity of end-to-side arterial anastomosis depending on the method of its implementation.  The study was conducted on 30 live Wistar rats in vivo, which were randomly divided into three groups. In each group of animals, an end-to-side microanastamosis was performed using three methods of donor artery preparation: 45 degrees (group A), 90 degrees (group B), and arteriotomy according to the "fish mouth" type (group C).

[Endoscopic transnasal resection of clival meningiomas].

Background: Surgical treatment of ventral and ventrolateral meningiomas of posterior cranial fossa is difficult in modern neurosurgery. This is due to peculiarities of approach to these areas and concentration of critical structures (cranial nerves and great vessels). Currently, endoscopic transnasal approach to these meningiomas allows partial, and in some cases, total resection.

[Primary tumors of the brain stem. State of the problem].

Primary brainstem gliomas are still poorly studied in neurooncology. This concept includes tumors with different histological and genetic features, as well as variable clinical course and outcomes. Nevertheless, treatment implies radiotherapy without a clear idea of morphological substrate of disease in 80% of cases.

Endoscopic transnasal resection of clival meningiomas.

Unlabelled: Treatment of clival meningiomas is still one of the unresolved issues in modern neurosurgery. There are several treatment strategies. These ones include various combinations of follow-up, surgical CSF drainage, tumor resection and radiotherapy.
