Can artificial intelligence predict COVID-19 mortality?

Objective: COVID-19 infection rapidly spread across the globe and evolved into a pandemic. Artificial intelligence (AI) has been used to predict the spread of the virus and diagnose and treat the disease. In this study, we aimed to predict whether patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to COVID-19 infection will result in mortality.

Objective: Subclinical atherosclerosis (SA) is often observed in ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients; Salusin-α (Sal-α), Salusin-β (Sal-β), and Klotho hormones are thought to be associated with atherosclerosis. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between Sal-α, Sal-β, and Klotho levels with SA in AS.

Patients And Methods: The study included patients older than 18 years who applied between August 1, 2019, and September 1, 2019.

Comparison of Sacroiliitis Grade Readings on the Same Plain Radiographs by the Same Observer at Different Periods.

Background:  This study aimed to investigate whether there is a difference between the readings of plain sacroiliac radiographs of patients with sacroiliitis by the same observer.

Materials And Methods:  In the study, we included patients diagnosed with sacroiliitis through sacroiliac MRI who had undergone plain radiographs at our center between 2015 and 2022. The radiographic grading of patients was conducted by transferring their demographic and clinical information into a computerized environment so that these details would not be identifiable.

Can Fetuin-A Deficiency Predict the Severity of COVID-19 Disease in Kidney Transplant Recipients?

Background: This study aims to investigate whether fetuin A deficiency predicts the prognosis of COVID-19 disease in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs).

Method: The study was conducted on 35 hospitalized KTRs with COVID-19 pneumonia between November 2020 and June 2021. Serums were collected for fetuin-A measurement at admission and after six months of follow-up.
