WHO's 2013 PMTCT guidelines recommended lifelong antiretroviral therapy (ART) for HIV-infected pregnant and breastfeeding women, exclusive breastfeeding (EBF), nevirapine prophylaxis (NVP) and early infant diagnosis (EID) for HIV-exposed-breastfed infants. We examined the association between knowledge and adherence to these guidelines among 550 HIV-infected pregnant women in Maharashtra, India. Knowledge of PMTCT guidelines was assessed using a structured-questionnaire during enrollment.

Rarely, other diseases can mimic this condition clinically and radiologically, requiring a high index of suspicion to reach the correct diagnosis. We present a case of a 37-year-old male of Indian origin, who had intra- and supra-sellar tuberculosis (TB), presenting with classical clinical features of pituitary apoplexy and constitutional symptoms.

Methods: In this study, we used a supervised machine learning technique to build a model of functional connections that predicts cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) p-tau/Aβ (the PATH-fc model). Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data from 289 older adults in the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) were utilized for this model.

We obtained the near-complete simian foamy virus (SFV) genome from an infected human bitten by an African green monkey ( SFVcae_hu501). The genome is 13,062 nucleotides long with the classical SFV genome structure. Phylogenetically, SFVcae_hu501 clustered closely with SFV from (SFVagm_LK3).
