Traditional bullying perpetration explicates the importance of a power differential between the bully and the victim-predominantly physical and/or social status. The application of power from traditional to cyberbullying is unclear. View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: We initiated a prospective interventional study using a nurse-driven bedside dysphagia screen (BDS) in patients with cervical spine injury (CI) to address three objectives: (1) determine the incidence of dysphagia, (2) determine the utility of the new BDS as a screening tool, and (3) compare patient outcomes, specifically dysphagia-related complications, in the study period with a retrospective cohort.
Methods: All patients with CI admitted to a Level I trauma center were enrolled in a prospective 12-month study (June 2016-June 2017) and then were compared with a previous 18-month cohort of similar patients. Our new protocol mandated that every patient underwent a BDS before oral intake.
Ex vivo skin preservation is important for skin banks, burn centers, and in research; however, the optimal preservation solution is not known. Human amniotic fluid (HAF), in addition to its role in fetal wound healing, has promise as an effective and readily available preservation solution. The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of several solutions, including HAF, in full-thickness skin preservation.

In stable coronary lesions the stent did not show relevant antiproliferative effects. Since Tacrolimus provides antiproliferative and antiinflammatory properties, we sought to investigate the efficacy of the Tacrolimus eluting Janus stent in acute coronary syndrome lesions with a more pronounced inflammatory cell reaction compared to stable coronary artery lesions.
