Background: This study was designed to evaluate content validity of the Dimensional Anhedonia Rating Scale (DARS), a patient-reported outcome measure, in adults with anhedonia in the context of major depressive disorder (MDD). To accomplish this, a conceptual model including the symptoms and impacts of anhedonia in the context of MDD was developed and refined through a targeted literature review, clinician interviews (N = 6), and participant interviews (N = 20).

Results: Using the final conceptual model, an item mapping exercise was conducted for the DARS, demonstrating that it provided suitable concept coverage in this population.

: This study aimed to evaluate an artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced electrocardiogram (ECG) screening protocol for improved accuracy, efficiency, and risk stratification across six sports: handball, football, athletics, weightlifting, judo, and karate. For each of the six sports, resting 12-lead ECGs from healthy children and junior athletes were analyzed using AI algorithms trained on annotated datasets. Parameters included the QTc intervals, PR intervals, and QRS duration.

Rectal cancer (RC) presents significant challenges in diagnosis and treatment, with increasing incidence among younger populations. Treatment approaches, particularly for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC), have evolved, notably with the introduction of total neoadjuvant therapy (TNT). TNT combines neoadjuvant chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy before surgery, improving overall survival and reducing both metastasis and local recurrence rates compared to traditional methods, while enabling more patients to complete the full oncological treatment.

This study proposes and validates a novel CMOS-compatible ferroelectric thin-film insulator made of vanadium-doped hafnium oxide (V:HfO) by using an optimized atomic layer deposition (ALD) process. Comparative electrical performance analysis of metal-ferroelectric-metal capacitors with varying V-doping concentrations, along with advanced material characterizations, confirmed the ferroelectric behavior and reliability of V:HfO. With remnant polarization () values up to 20 μC/cm, a coercive field () of 1.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of two ion-releasing, resin-based composites (RBCs), ACTIVA BioACTIVE-Restorative (BIO1) and ACTIVA Presto (BIO2), in preventing demineralization around restorations.

Methods: Class I and II cavities were prepared on bovine (n = 4) and human teeth (n = 8) and restored with BIO1, BIO2, a conventional composite (RBC, Filtek Supreme XTE), and a resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC, Ionolux). Following restorations (class I, n= 16/material; class II, n= 8/material), the specimens were exposed to Streptococcus mutans biofilm in a continuous-flow bioreactor over two weeks.
