Storage stability study of metronidazole and hydroxymetronidazole in chicken eggs by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.

Metronidazole (MNZ) is one of the most commonly used antibiotics in the food industry. High levels in food can lead to the development of antimicrobial resistance in humans, so it is important to monitor its levels in food. In the context of legal proceedings, it is frequently necessary to re-examine samples after an extended period of time.

Under analysis were 38 observations of primary acute diseases of the greater omentum in children: torsion of the omentum (in 16 patients), idiopathic infarction (in 12), primary omentitis (in 10). These diseases are met in 0.07% of all the patients operated upon with acute abdominal pathology.

[Abscessed omentitis in children].

Abscessing omentitis was diagnozed in 0.02% of children operated upon for destructive appendicitis. The most probable causes of the abscesses were resection of its inflammatory portion not within the limits of healthy tissues, and not performing a resection of the inflamed omentum during appendectomy.

[Combined injuries of the the pelvic bones and urethral canal in children].

Associated injuries of pelvic bones and urethra were observed in 50 children. The clinical picture, diagnosis and methods of treatment are described with special reference to time gone after trauma. The most effective method of treatment of ruptured urethra is thought to be putting the primary suture.
