[ETP and transcultural clinics in health centers in French Guiana].

French Guiana is a "transcultural world" in its own right, with its indigenous "inland" populations, highly isolated from the healthcare system, more affected by chronic cardiometabolic and infectious diseases than either the coast or mainland France. Transcultural clinics and therapeutic patient education (TPE) therefore play a key role. French Guiana is a pioneer in TPE, health mediation and the practice of "outreach" via local hospitals, delocalized specialty consultations and so on.

Hybrid care model: Combining telemedicine and office visits for diabetes management in older adults with type 1 diabetes.

Aims: To evaluate the use of hybrid (telehealth and in-person) care on visitation and glycaemia in older adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Methods: In this retrospective study, we examined clinical characteristics, number of visits (telehealth and in-person) and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) metrics for older adults (≥65 years) with T1D from electronic health records during the pre-COVID-19 pandemic (March 1, 2019-March 1, 2020; in-person) and pandemic (September 1, 2020-August 31, 2021; hybrid) periods. Main outcomes were the number of visits and changes in glycaemic control (HbA1c), and in a sub-group of older adults using CGM, changes in CGM metrics between in-person and hybrid care.

BRM (SMARCA2) and BRG1 (SMARCA4) are mutually exclusive ATPase subunits of the mSWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complex. BAF is an attractive therapeutic target because of its role in transcription, and mutations in the subunits of BAF are common in cancer and neurological disorders. Introduction: Digital trials are a promising strategy to increase the evidence base for common interventions and may convey considerable efficiency benefits in trial conduct. Although paediatric intensive care units (PICUs) are rich in routine electronic data, highly pragmatic digital trials in this field remain scarce. There are unmet evidence needs for optimal mechanical ventilation modes in paediatric intensive care.

The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the predictive performance of a three-layered neural network for the prediction of adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes determined at two years of age by the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, 3rd edition (Bayley-III) scale in prematurely born infants by affected by intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). : This observational retrospective study included premature newborns with or without IUGR admitted to a tertiary neonatal intensive care unit from Romania, between January 2018 and December 2022.
