Prolonged exposure to interferon-gamma (IFNγ) and the associated increased expression of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) create an intracellular shortage of tryptophan in the cancer cells, which stimulates ribosomal frameshifting and tryptophan to phenylalanine (W>F) codon reassignments during protein synthesis. Here, we investigated whether such neoepitopes can be useful targets of adoptive T cell therapy. Methods: By using own data from two transplant centers, we have developed a calculator able to provide the patients' 2-year overall survival (OS) associated with each of the potential donor options during the selection process, in order to support the transplant physician during the choice.

Here we describe for the first time an increase in plasma imatinib and norimatinib concentrations observed in a series of 5 patients treated with imatinib for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) after mild COVID-19.
Methods: The patients were undergoing routine therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and pharmacogenetic (PGx) analyses of polymorphisms in genes involved in imatinib metabolism and transport (, , , and ) when SARS-CoV-2 infection occurred.

Scientific literature highlights that nutrition is pivotal in respiratory inflammatory processes connected to COPD, including exacerbations.
