Choriocarcinoma complicated with intra-abdominal and intrapleural hemorrhage in pregnancy - case report.

Background: Choriocarcinoma is a rare neoplasm, exceptionally uncommon during an ongoing pregnancy. The disease often has a metastatic character, causing severe symptoms from various anatomic sites like the lungs, central nervous system, vagina, pelvis, or liver. Due to the condition's rarity, evidence on how to treat the choriocarcinoma originating during pregnancy remains scarce.

Color Doppler Sonography Assisted Subcutaneous Mastectomy with Inferior Pedicled Nipple-Areola Complex in Female-to-Male Transsexuals: A Retrospective Cohort Analysis.

Background: The surgical goals of gender reassignment surgery of the breast in female-to male transsexuals (FMT) is the aesthetic shaping of a male thoracic wall with minimal scarring, while preserving the sensitivity of the nipple-areola complex (NAC). For large and ptotic breasts, we perform a mastectomy over an inframammary access with inferior pedicled NAC under color Doppler visualization of the perforators. This paper presents the technique, including complications and assessment of quality of life, as part of a unicentric analysis.

Alopecia areata/AA is an autoimmune cause of nonscarring hair loss. The pathogenesis of AA involves many immune axes, including Th1/Th2 pathways. Delgocitinib is a pan-Janus kinase/JAK inhibitor that broadly blocks pro-inflammatory cytokines and has been effective in other inflammatory skin conditions.

Prognostic value of human papillomavirus detection and the eighth edition of the TNM classification staging system in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma: A single-center Polish study.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine human papillomavirus (HPV) status and genotypes, the HPV status-dependent survival, and the applicability of the eighth TNM classification in Polish patients diagnosed with oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC).

Study Design: All patients with primary OPSCC, diagnosed and treated from 2007 to 2017 at the National Research Institute of Oncology, Warsaw, Poland, who underwent radical radiotherapy were included. The Kaplan-Meier method was deployed to produce 3- and 5-year observed survival (OS) estimates.
