Quality of Life Among Hospitalized Fibromyalgia Older Adults: a Case-Control Study.

Background: Only few studies addressed the topic of Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) effects on geriatric population quality of life and drug usage. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the significant impact of FMS in terms of quality of life (QOL) in geriatric aged patients.

Methods: 80 patients were studied, 40 with FMS according to FMS 2016 classification criteria, and 40 non-FMS controls.

The current study investigated influence of simvastatin in mitigating adverse pro-inflammatory effects of titanium dioxide (TiO) micro (MP) and nano (NP) particles on hFOB 1.19 cells in vitro.

Authors' Reply to Letter to the Editor- in Response to: Comment on Dheyab AM et al. "Long-Term Efficacy of Oral Valganciclovir in Presumed Cytomegalovirus Unilateral Hypertensive Anterior Uveitis".

The clinical diagnosis of presumed cytomegalovirus hypertensive anterior uveitis was based on the following criteria: 1) Recurrent episodes of unilateral hypertensive anterior uveitis characterized by acute elevation of intraocular pressure, a few medium-sized or mutton-fat keratic precipitates and mild anterior chamber reaction. These findings might be associated with corneal endotheliitis and iris atrophy. 2) Posterior synechiae and vitreous involvement are typically absent.

The stabilisation of clayey soil by using sawdust and sawdust ash.

Soil stabilisation by waste materials has been recently employed to enhance soil engineering properties. The purpose of this study is to compare the impact of utilising sawdust in its raw form versus sawdust ash as a soil stabiliser. This is to determine if sawdust (SD) can be considered as a substitute for sawdust ash (SDA) in order to reduce incineration and air pollution.

IgA vasculitis in adults, pediatrics and non-vasculitic IgA nephropathy, retrospective analysis from 2 centers.

Renal involvement represents the major long-term morbidity associated with IgA vasculitis (IgAV). Our aim was to evaluate clinical characteristics and long-term renal outcomes of IgAV in pediatrics and adults comparing to IgA nephropathy (IgAN). Our retrospective study included children and adults with IgAV and IgAN patients, admitted in a 13-year period (2007-2019) to rheumatology clinics and in hospital pediatric and internal medicine departments.
