The timing of nerve blocks for amputation surgery with immediate targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) has been disputed. Traditional practices often defer nerve blocks until post-amputation, fearing interference with motor nerve target identification for TMR. Here, we present a case series demonstrating that pre-amputation regional nerve blocks do not prevent the identification of motor nerve targets.

Objective: This study explores the effectiveness of health communication campaigns and campus-based interventions to promote vaccinations among college-aged students, focusing on human papillomavirus (HPV) immunization.
Participants: Leveraging previous initiatives, Purdue University implemented various campaign strategies and collaborated with the Indiana Immunization Coalition to administer vaccines ( = 1,827) across two clinics in late 2022.
Methods: Qualtrics surveys ( = 564) were administered to individuals post-vaccination(s).
The goals of gender-affirming phalloplasty typically include an aesthetic phallus and scrotum, standing micturition, and/or penetrative intercourse. Phalloplasty can be performed using both free and pedicled flaps. Complications include flap-related healing compromise and urethral issues, including stricture and fistula.
