The aim of the study was to investigate a series of complete blood cell count-based biomarkers of systemic inflammation as predictors of clinical outcomes in patients who underwent first-line chemoimmunotherapy for advanced NSCLC. Consecutive patients with pathologically diagnosed stage III/IV NSCLC and PD-L1 < 50% who underwent first-line chemoimmunotherapy were retrospectively enrolled. The clinical outcomes used for biomarker evaluation were Objective Response Rate (ORR) and Overall Survival (OS).

Since the majority of women on dialysis are past childbearing age, these themes are not always given proper consideration and this category of patients may be missing important information. Young women of childbearing age who are on dialysis frequently experience sexual dysfunction and hormonal disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.

We report the use of a new multiplex Real-Time PCR platform to simultaneously identify 24 pathogens and 3 antimicrobial-resistance genes directly from respiratory samples of COVID-19 patients. Results were compared to culture-based diagnosis. Secondary infections were detected in 60% of COVID-19 patients by molecular analysis and 73% by microbiological assays, with no significant differences in accuracy, indicating Gram-negative bacteria as the predominant species.
