Modeling Development of a Diamagnetically Stabilized Magnetically Levitated Gravimeter.

The aim of this work is to create a new type of gravimeter that can function effectively in the challenging conditions of space, specifically on the surfaces of planets and moons. The proposed device, called a diamagnetically stabilized magnetically levitated gravimeter (DSMLG), uses magnetic forces to balance a test mass against the force of gravity, allowing for accurate measurements. A diamagnetically stabilized levitation structure comprises a floating magnet, diamagnetic material, and a lifting magnet.

Blood vessel rupture is a major complication associated with vascular access intervention therapy (VAIVT). However, information regarding the risk factors for ruptures related to VAIVT is limited. The purpose of this study was to investigate the risk factors for rupture during VAIVT.

Longevity Demonstration of Methane to C2 via a Nonthermal Plasma Microreactor.

Hydrocarbon processing using plasmas has tremendous potential, yet there still exist many uncertainties pertaining to practical operation over long durations. Previously, it has been demonstrated that a nonthermal plasma operating in a DC glow regime can transform methane into C2 species (acetylene, ethylene, ethane) in a microreactor. Using a DC glow regime in a microchannel reactor allows for lower power consumption, at the expense of greater consequence of fouling.

Intermittent pain in patients with chronic low back pain is associated with abnormalities in muscles and fascia.

We investigated the relationship between paravertebral muscles and perimuscular connective tissues of the thoracolumbar fascia region and the four types of pain in patients suffering from chronic low back pain. A total of 17 patients with chronic low back pain participated in this study. Ultrasound imaging method was used to measure the thickness and echogenicity of the paravertebral muscles and perimuscular connective tissues.
