The relationship between charitable giving and emotional facial expressions: Results from affective computing.

This study investigated the relationship between emotional states (valence, arousal, and six basic emotions) and donation size in pet charities, and it compared the effectiveness of affective computing and emotion self-report methods in assessing attractiveness. Using FaceReader software and self-report, we measured the emotional states of participants (N = 45) during the donation task. The results showed that sadness, happiness, and anger were significantly related to donation size.

[Prevention of cognitive dysfunction in elderly cancer patients operated on the pelvic organs in conditions of multimodal anesthesia].

Unlabelled: The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of various variants of multimodal anesthesia on the cognitive functions of elderly patients after surgical interventions on pelvic organs, the development of preventive measures for POCD.

Material And Methods: A study was conducted in 76 elderly patients aged 62 to 84 years with an increased risk of developing POCD. Of these, 46 women and 30 men.

[Modern approaches to components of therapy of patients with diabetes mellitus operated on for malignant neoplasms of small pelvic organs].

The purpose of this study was assessment of the effect of cytoflavin preparation inclusion in surgical treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms of small pelvic organs and diabetes mellitus. A prospective examination of 51 patients aged 56 to 76 years suffering from diabetes mellitus and malignant neoplasms of the pelvic organs was performed. Patients were divided into two groups: the first group consisted of 27 patients whose adaptive potential was characterized by tension of adaptation mechanisms, the second one - 24 patients with poor adaptation.

[Community-acquired pneumonias, complicated with pathology of the urological system].

The article presents the results of studying the characteristics of clinical course, diagnostics and treatment of outhospital pneumonias, combined with pathology of urinary bodies in the interest of optimizing medical-diagnostic ensure this category of patients in an environment of pulmonologikal department of multidisciplinary hospital facility. Optimization of the full survey of patients with pneumonia, combined with diseases and pathological changes of urinary system, in the initial period of their treatment in the pulmonologikal department environment allows to make early, proved correction of etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy of their polimorbidycal pathology, that will reduce their terms of being in hospital without damage to quality of diagnostics and treatment.
