Today, composite profiles of constant cross section are widely used in advanced engineering structures. The use of composite profiles in window and door structures can reduce thermal bridging and reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling. This article focuses on the production of new, thermoplastic-based structural pultruded profiles and their application in a PVC (polyvinylchloride) window structure as a reinforcement.

This paper presents the results of microbial corrosion tests on M0-grade copper under conditions simulating a geological repository for radioactive waste at the Yeniseisky site (Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia). The work used a microbial community sampled from a depth of 450 m and stimulated with glucose, hydrogen and sulfate under anaerobic conditions. It was shown that the maximum corrosion rate, reaching 9.

The canonical model of tumor suppressor gene (TSG)-mediated oncogenesis posits that loss of both alleles is necessary for inactivation. Here, through allele-specific analysis of sequencing data from 48,179 cancer patients, we define the prevalence, selective pressure for, and functional consequences of biallelic inactivation across TSGs. TSGs largely assort into distinct classes associated with either pan-cancer (Class 1) or lineage-specific (Class 2) patterns of selection for biallelic loss, although some TSGs are predominantly monoallelically inactivated (Class 3/4).

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on detecting multijet signatures from proton-proton collisions at a high energy of 13 TeV, analyzing a dataset totaling 128 fb^{-1}.
  • A special data scouting method is utilized to pick out events with low combined momentum in jets.
  • This research is pioneering in its investigation of electroweak particle production in R-parity violating supersymmetric models, particularly examining hadronically decaying mass-degenerate higgsinos, and it broadens the limits on the existence of R-parity violating top squarks and gluinos.
