Simple acute postero-lateral elbow dislocation: A historical perspective.

Purpose: The aims of this study were to summarize (1) the historical knowledge of the posterolateral elbow dislocation (PLED) pattern and the biomechanical, radiographic, and clinical data that engendered its evolution; and (2) to help clinicians better understand the management of PLED.

Methods: A literature search was performed using Ovid, Scopus and Cochrane Library, and the Medical Subject Headings vocabulary. Results are discussed as a chronologic review of the relevant literature between 1920-2022.

Post-traumatic forearm bone defect reconstruction using the induced membrane technique.

Introduction: The induced membrane technique, first described by Masquelet, is now well standardized, but little studied in post-traumatic forearm bone defect. The main aim of the present study was to analyze consolidation rates in this indication. The study hypothesis was that the induced membrane technique provides good consolidation results.

The TASERed finger: A new entity. Case report and review of literature.

The TASER(®) is a self-defense weapon whose use has now become commonplace among law enforcement agencies. Electronic control weapons were first used in the USA in the 1990s and then adopted in Europe and France. We report a case of an 18-year-old male who presented a penetrating lesion of the middle phalanx of the left index finger.
