Materials And Methods: The present study was a retrospective case-control study comparing 30 MRI studies of GH patients with ankle or subtalar arthropathy with 30 matched controls with ankle pain. Anonymised images were scored using a semi-quantative tool adapted from the MRI osteoarthritis knee score.
The incidental detection of small renal masses on imaging undertaken to evaluate unrelated symptoms or conditions is an increasingly common occurrence. Accurate imaging characterisation is fundamental to determining optimum patient management. The goals of imaging small renal masses include determining whether a lesion is solid or cystic, if there are signs of biological aggressiveness and whether the lesion is likely benign or malignant.
