This study evaluated short-term immune responses of dairy ewes supplemented with barley β-glucan (BG) following an intramammary lipopolysaccharide (LPS) challenge. In the adaptation period, 36 ewes were fed an alfalfa hay diet ad libitum and barley grain cv. Hispanic (3.

This study presents a method for modelling, predicting, and evaluating the impact of drill materials on the drilling process of hybrid palm/jute polyester composites, with the aim of enhancing hole quality regarding delamination, circularity, and cylindricity. Three drill materials, including High-Speed Steel (HSS), 5 % Cobalt-coated High-Speed Steel (HSS-Co5), and Solid Carbide drills were tested, and their impacts on drilling performance were assessed. Through thorough experimentation and statistical analysis, significant differences in results were observed between HSS drills and both HSS-Co5 and Solid Carbide drills.

Most heavy metals are harmful to human health and the environment, even at extremely low concentrations. In natural waters, they are usually found only in trace amounts. Researchers are paying great attention to nanotechnology and nanomaterials as viable solutions to the problem of water pollution.

Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 G2019S mutant (LRRK2 G2019S) is a potential target for Parkinson's disease therapy. In this work, the computational evaluation of the LRRK2 G2019S inhibitors was conducted via a combined approach which contains a preliminary screening of a large database of compounds via similarity and pharmacophore, a secondary selection via structure-based affinity prediction and molecular docking, and a rescoring treatment for the final selection. MD simulations and MM/GBSA calculations were performed to check the agreement between different prediction methods for these inhibitors.
