MACCABI-RED, community emergency care at the press of a button: a descriptive study.

Background: Maccabi-RED is a new service developed in Israel that allows primary care staff to direct urgent cases to specialists in the community for evaluation in their local clinics on the same day as an alternative to an emergency department (ED) visit. A primary care physician or a nurse can activate the service, and all nearby specialists receive "a call" and can decide if they are willing to accept it, thus allowing the patient to avoid an unnecessary visit to the ED.

Aim: To quantify and characterize the medical care provided by this service in a large national healthcare system.

Advanced prostate cancer remains incurable and is the second leading cause of mortality in men. Immunotherapy based on the adoptive transfer of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) has demonstrated promising clinical results in patients with metastatic melanoma and lately also in other solid tumors. However, the ability to obtain TIL from patients with prostate cancer, considered poorly immunogenic, remains unknown.

Reconstruction and Implant-Supported Rehabilitation of an Iatrogenically Caused Maxillary Alveolar Defect.

Defects of the oral and maxillofacial region may arise from several reasons such as trauma, infection, cyst, tumor, medication related osteonecrosis of the jaw, and misuse of some irritant agents. For reconstruction, autogenous grafts remain the gold standard among the alternatives. In our case, a 42-year-old woman referred to our clinic for implant-supported fixed bridge rehabilitation of her edentulous and defected left 2nd premolar and 1st molar region.

Culturally congruent mentorship can reduce disruptive behavior among elementary school students: results from a pilot study.

Background: Our study objective was to examine the feasibility of implementing a culturally congruent mentorship pilot program, Youth-First (YF), that targets behavior modification among elementary school-aged children with disruptive behavior and a history of school suspension. We hypothesize that it is feasible to implement the YF program to reduce disruptive behaviors and recidivism of level III/IV infractions in school settings among at-risk African American students.

Methods: We assessed program feasibility based on the success of program acceptance by parents/guardians, study enrollment, and intervention compliance by students.

The aim of this study was to valorise a deciduous tree called Pistacia atlantica. Cell wall polysaccharides (cellulose and hemicelluloses) were isolated and dosed from mature and young pistachio leaves. The samples were collected from six different locations in the Sidi Bel Abbes region (western Algeria).
