Microstructural and Radioluminescence Characteristics of Nd Doped Columbite-Type SrNbO Phosphor.

Undoped and different concentration Nd doped SrNbO powders with columbite structure were synthesized by molten salt process using a mixture of strontium nitrate and niobium (V) oxide and NaCl-KCl salt mixture as a flux under relatively low calcining temperature. X-ray diffraction analysis results indicated that SrNbO phases found to be orthorhombic columbite single phase for undoped, 0.5 and 3 mol% Nd doping concentrations.

Evaluation of a method to correct the contractility index LVdP/dt(max) for changes in heart rate.

Introduction: In order to differentiate heart rate (HR)-induced changes from drug-induced positive or negative inotropic effects, HR-dependent effects need to be taken into account. Left ventricular (LV)dP/dt(max), the maximal value of the first derivative of a left ventricular pressure signal, is a convenient index for LV contractile state. The objective of this study was to define the normal relationship between left ventricular LVdP/dt(max) and HR in chronically instrumented, conscious dogs, primates and minipigs in our laboratory and then to use these data as the basis for developing a LVdP/dt(max)-HR-correction formula for each species.

Objectives: The purpose of the current study was to clinically evaluate the technique of longer pull-out suture as a transmission suture for early active motion after flexor tendon repair in the proximal zone-2.

Method: Eleven patients (eight adult male, two adult female and one child) with 19 proximal zone II flexor tendon lacerations were included. Mean age was 35 years.

Adaptation and validation of Turkish version of the Knee Outcome Survey-Activities for Daily Living Scale.

The Knee Outcome Survey-Activities of Daily Living Scale (KOS-ADLS), originally developed in English, is a valid and reliable self-reported instrument used for patients with various painful knee conditions. We adapted the KOS-ADLS to Turkish and tested its reliability and validity. We enrolled 142 patients with knee pain in the study.
