[Investigation of relation between LPO, AOD and some immune parameters in patients with chronic kidney disease].

Time course of lipid peroxidation and the state of antioxidant system of patients with chronic kidney disease were studied. Increases of conjugated dienes, malonic dialdehyde, lipid peroxidation degree were found. Alterations in ceruloplasmin activity, observed in blood of patients depended on the stage of the disease.

Parallel synthesis of libraries of anodic and cathodic functionalized electrodeposition paints as immobilization matrix for amperometric biosensors.

The integration of flexible anchoring groups bearing imidazolyl or pyridyl substituents into the structure of electrodeposition paints (EDP) is the basis for the parallel synthesis of a library containing 107 members of different cathodic and anodic EDPs with a high variation in polymer properties. The obtained EDPs were used as immobilization matrix for biosensor fabrication using glucose oxidase as a model enzyme. Amperometric glucose sensors based on the different EDPs showed a wide variation in their sensor characteristics with respect to the apparent Michaelis-Menten constant (KM(app)) representing the linear measuring range and the maximum current (Imax(app)).

Determination of the quadratic slope parameter in eta-->3pi(0) decay.

We have determined the quadratic slope parameter alpha for eta-->3pi(0) to be alpha = -0.031(4) from a 99% pure sample of 10(6)eta-->3pi(0) decays produced in the reaction pi(-)p-->n(eta) close to the eta threshold using the Crystal Ball detector at the AGS. The result is four times more precise than the present world data and disagrees with current chiral perturbation theory calculations by about four standard deviations.

[Microbiology of suppurative wound in laser radiation].

Comparative quantitative and qualitative appraisal of purulent lesions of the soft tissues in surgical patients treated with the infrared lasers "Uzor" (pulse) and "Skalyar (continuous) and by the traditional methods (antibiotics, antiseptics, ointments) was conducted under clinical conditions.
