[Issues of treatment and prevention of recurrent inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract: An immunologist's view. A review].

Often ill people are, first of all, patients with recurrent infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (URT). They put a significant financial burden on the healthcare system. The leading etiological factors of recurrent inflammatory diseases of URT, in addition to pathogenic bacterial microflora, are viral agents (viruses of the viral respiratory infections group, herpes viruses).

[THE DATA OBTAINED FROM AN ELECTROMYOGRAPHY AT DIFFERENT TIME PERIODS OF USE OF COMPLETE RELATIVELY FIXED PROSTHESIS WITH DIFFERENT ABUTMENT SYSTEMS UNDER CONDOTIONS OF DISINTEGRATION OF ONE OF THE DISTAL IMPLANT SUPPORT].

The most effective method of providing a good fixation of complete dentures is the implantation. The aim of our research was the study of bioelectrical activity of masticatory muscles during the adaptation of patients to complete relatively fixed prosthesis, using rigid fixed abutments and abutments provided cushioning the loss of one of the supporting implants. Studies electromyographic indicators suggest that the process of adaptation to complete relatively fixed prostheses, there is better in patients who use prosthetic latching on implant systems with shock-absorbing abutment.

[Condition of periodontal tissue in women with bacterial vaginosis].

The paper presents the findings of clinical features of periodontium tissues in women with bacterial vaginosis correlated with bacteriological estimation of oral cavity and vagina, number of sexual partners.

Efficiency of anaferon in complex therapy of genital herpes.

We studied clinical efficiency and IFN-inducing activity of anaferon in chronic recurrent genital herpes with high incidence of relapses. The use of anaferon in complex therapy reduced the duration of intoxication symptoms and local symptoms, shortened the duration of the relapse, activated expression of IFN-gamma mRNA, and improved IFN-gamma-producing capacity of blood leukocytes.

[Design of medical facilities for the saving of persons exposed to low temperatures].

The paper describes medical facilities for saving victims of general cooling. Physiological ways of recovery of the thermal status of individuals exposed to general cooling are substantiated. A physiological rationale is presented for the design of engineering aids to prevent overcooling in persons who do their work in cold.
