Adenosquamous carcinoma of the prostate is rare. Even rarer is the subsequent squamous metastasis or recurrence in which only the malignant squamous component is observed in some sites, with the adenocarcinoma present in other sites. We describe a case of squamous cell carcinoma presenting at the prostatic bed 6 years after radical retropubic prostatectomy was performed for adenocarcinoma.

It has been shown by direct radiometry that 99m Tc-pertechnetate is excreted from the rat testes according to the exponential dependence, the maximum accumulation being observed 10 minutes after the injection (0.5% per 1 g tissue of the injected activity). Autoradiography has revealed that most of the radionuclide is located in the vascular system of the testes, whilst the minor part in the seminiferous tubules, the maximum accumulation being reached one hour after injection.
