The increase in cheese production, sale, and consumption due to the settled lives of societies has led to an increase in cheese-related diseases. It has become essential to better understand cheese-borne diseases and to develop control measures. In this study, cheese-related diseases and precautions taken in the Ottoman Empire from the 19th to the 20th centuries were investigated in Ottoman archival sources.

Coriolis Vibratory MEMS Gyro Drive Axis Control with Proxy-Based Sliding Mode Controller.

MEMS (micro electrical mechanical systems) gyroscopes are used to measure the angular rate in several applications. The performance of a MEMS gyroscope is dependent on more than one factor, such as mechanical imperfections, environmental condition-dependent parameter variations, and mechanical-thermal noises. These factors should be compensated to improve the performance of the MEMS gyroscope.

Energy-Efficient Cluster-Based Data Collection by a UAV with a Limited-Capacity Battery in Robotic Wireless Sensor Networks.

In this work, our motivation focuses on an energy-efficient data collection problem by a mobile sink, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with limited battery capacity, in a robot network divided into several robot clusters. In each cluster, a cluster head (CH) robot allocates tasks to the remaining robots and collects data from them. Our contribution is to minimize the UAV total energy consumption coupled to minimum cost data collection from CH robots by visiting optimally a portion of the CH robots.

Association between serum folic acid level and erectile dysfunction.

This study measured the serum folic acid (FA) level in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) and evaluated the possible association between the serum FA level and erectile function. The study divided 120 patients with ED into 3 groups of 40 patients each: those with severe, moderate and mild ED. Forty healthy men served as controls.

Flurbiprofen alone and in combination with alfuzosin for the management of lower urinary tract symptoms.

Introduction: We aimed to investigate the effectiveness and safety of flurbiprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with dual cyclooxygenase inhibition, and α-blocker alfuzosin, both alone and in combination with each other for lower urinary tract symptoms suggestive of benign prostatic obstruction (LUTS/BPO).

Material And Methods: Ninety patients complaining of moderate-to-severe LUTS/BPO were randomly assigned into 3 groups (30 patients each) to receive alfuzosin XL 10 mg, or flurbiprofen SR 200 mg, or combination of alfuzosin XL 10 mg and flurbiprofen SR 200 mg, once daily for 4 weeks. Patients were evaluated using the international prostate symptom score (IPSS) (total and IPSSstorage, IPSSempty subscores), uroflow-metry (maximum (Qmax) and average (Qave) flow rates) and postvoid residual urine (PVR) both at baseline and following the drug therapy course.
