Recently, our research group reported an upregulated expression profile of cystathionine γ-lyase (CSE) and cystathionine β-synthase (CBS), key enzymes involved in hydrogen sulfide (HS) production, in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients. However, the regulatory mechanisms underlying such altered expression patterns are not yet fully understood. In this study, we focused on the role of the STAT3/CSE/HS axis and the potential involvement of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), including long and short ncRNAs, in modulating this pivotal pathway.

This research aims to expand the established pharmacological space of tumor-associated carbonic anhydrases (TACAs) by exploring the synthetically accessible chemical space of 3-substituted coumarins, with the help of pharmacology prediction. 52 novel 3-substituted coumarins were sketched, prioritizing synthetic feasibility. Their pharmacological potentials were estimated using a custom machine-learning approach.

Background: Patients on hemodialysis (HD) are prone to various cardiovascular complications. Two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D STE) is an innovative technique for early myocardial dysfunction detection, even with normal ejection fraction (EF).

Objective: We aim to detect left ventricle (LV) dysfunction in regular hemodialysis patients using 2D STE compared to traditional echocardiography.

Objectives: Robotic-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (RATS) facilitates complex pulmonary segmentectomy which offers one-stage diagnostic and therapeutic management of small pulmonary nodules. We aimed to explore the potential advantages of a faster, simplified pathway and earlier diagnosis against the disadvantages of unnecessary morbidity in benign cases.

Methods: In an observational study, patients with small, solitary pulmonary nodules deemed suspicious of malignancy by a multidisciplinary team were offered surgery without a pre or intraoperative biopsy.
