The aim of this study was to compare between the changes undergone by the dermal collagen framework when heated by IR laser radiation and by traditional means and to reveal the specific features of the dermal matrix modification under moderate IR laser irradiation. Rabbit skin specimens were heated to 50°C, 55°C, 60°C and 65°C in a calorimeter furnace and with a 1.68-μm fiber Raman laser.

The author detected RNA of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) and estimated its concentration in sera of subjects from groups with high risk of parenteral infection (GHRPI) and clinically healthy subjects infected with the hepatitis C virus (HCV). The results show that the share of the acute hepatitis C reconvalescents with antibodies to HCV among people from GHRPI appeared to be smaller than among infected healthy subjects. The average fraction of sera with high virus load from subjects in GHRPI was nearly two times higher than the fraction number of such sera received from infected clinically healthy subjects.

Aim: Study features of pathogenetic characteristic changes of infection caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) in individuals that belong to different groups with high risk of parenteral infection (GHRPI).

Materials And Methods: 3219 blood sera obtained from individuals of 5 various GHRPI and 1541 unpaid blood donors were studied for the presence of anti-HCV. Anti-HCV-positive sera were studied by using polymerase chain reaction to detect HCV RNA in qualitative and quantitative variants.

Aim: Determination of breadth of spread of hepatitis B and C viruses among members of 5 groups with high risk of infection.

Materials And Methods: By enzyme immunoassay 3219 sera of members of groups with high risk of infection and 1541 sera of blood donors were studied for the presence of HBsAg and anti-HCV. In 5 risk groups were included: HIV-infected individuals, lung tuberculosis patients, hemoblastosis patients, chronic renal failure patients on hemodialysis and users of injectable drugs, permanently residing in Republic of Azerbaijan.

The article contains results of laboratory and experimental investigation carried out for comparative estimation of antiviral activity of thymosin-alpha1 (Ta1) against herpes simplex virus (HSV). It was demonstrated that administration of tymosin-alpha1 in cultivated in vitro cellular system had been inoculated with HSV provided inhibition of HSV reproduction and defense of cells of HSV cytopathogenic action. Moreover Ta1 ability to inhibit HSV reproduction in cell was comparable with the same ability of human alpha-interferon.
