Introduction: Laparoscopic splenectomy started to be more popular and nowadays it is the first choice for splenectomy in children. The main advantages of laparoscopic splenectomy over open approach are the shorter hospital stay, low complications and the cosmetic results despite the main concern of long operative time and the intra operative bleeding.

Aim: The aim of this study was to report our experience with laparoscopic splenectomy in children's with hematological diseases using ligasure regarding vascular control safety, efficacy and complications rate.

Introduction: Umbilical hernia is a common pediatric disorder that pediatric surgeons are usually asked to manage. Most cases will be closed spontaneously during the first 4-5 years of life. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Jordan.

This study was conducted on 100 patients with symptomatic gallbladder stones, aged 22-81 years with a mean of 51.5 years, who underwent cholecystectomy in Zarqa city, Jordan between July 1998 and July 1999. The success rate was 87% and the procedure was completed using the conventional method in 13 patients.

Objective: To evaluate lateral sphincterotomy under a mixture of local anesthesia versus general anesthesia in the treatment of anal fissures.

Methods: A randomized clinical trial of 62 consecutive patients requiring lateral sphincterotomy was carried out at Princess Haya Al-Hussein Hospital in Jordan. One group underwent lateral sphincterotomy under general anesthesia, while the 2nd group had topical anesthetic cream (xylocaine 2%) applied followed by local anesthesia.
