Recent studies show the immense capacities of the unified quantitation of aroma and taste compounds using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The goal of this study was to highlight the broad application of this unified method. Thus, a stable isotope dilution analysis quantification method of the most important key food odorants in various food categories by LC-MS was developed.

Sandwich composites are widely used in the manufacture of aircraft cabin interior panels for commercial aircraft, mainly due to the light weight of the composites and their high strength-to-weight ratio. Panels are used for floors, ceilings, kitchen walls, cabinets, seats, and cabin dividers. The honeycomb core of the panels is a very light structure that provides high rigidity, which is considerably increased with fiberglass face sheets.

Thin films of MoO3 were prepared by deposition of size-selected ligand-free Mo clusters under high vacuum conditions and subsequent exposure to air. The growth pattern is highly dependent on the cluster size. At low coverage, small clusters (Mo51) form a continuous monolayer of fused particles.

Background Information: Homotypic internalisation of tumour cells has frequently been observed in tumour tissue sections. Events of non-professional phagocytosis, however, may also occur in normal tissue if the number of dying cells exceeds the phagocytic capacity of professional phagocytes such as macrophages and dendritic cells. The aim of this study was to investigate the molecular background of non-professional phagocytosis of primary necrotic cells by neighbouring tumour cells and normal skin fibroblasts.
