No secondary osteoarthritis after recession wedge trochleoplasty associated with tibial tubercle osteotomy for treating recurrent patellar dislocation in high-grade dysplasia.

Purpose: To determine in the long-term the rate of osteoarthritis of recession wedge trochleoplasty performed in patients with high-grade trochlear dysplasia and recurrent patellar dislocations. The hypothesis was that the rate of secondary osteoarthritis was low.

Methods: Fifteen consecutive patients (17 knees) undergoing a recession wedge trochleoplasty surgery for recurrent patellar dislocation were retrospectively included.

Long-term clinical and radiological outcomes after arthroscopic partial meniscectomy on stable knees are better for traumatic tears when compared to degenerative lesions: A systematic review.

Purpose: An arthroscopic partial meniscectomy (APM) for degenerative meniscus lesions and traumatic meniscus tears are two distinct entities and their long-term outcomes are rarely reported. The aim of this review was to compare the long-term (clinical and radiological) results of APM performed on stable knees for traumatic tears (TT) or degenerative lesions (DL).

Methods: Pubmed, Scopus and Embase databases were searched to identify relevant studies published between 2010 and 2023 using the keywords 'meniscectomy' OR 'meniscectomies' OR 'meniscal resection'.

Reliability of the Harris Hip limping sub-score in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty.

Purpose: In patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty, limping is a significant symptom, often assessed with the limping sub-score of the Harris Hip Score. However, the reliability of this sub-score has not been specifically investigated. The purpose of this study is to investigate the intra- and inter-rater reliability of this sub-score.

Incidence of secondary displacement after osteosynthesis of proximal humerus fractures: a retrospective study of 185 cases.

Proximal humerus fractures are the third most common fracture in patients over 65 years of age. There is no clear consensus regarding their treatment. The objective of this retrospective observational study was to calculate the incidence of secondary displacement after osteosynthesis of these fractures and to identify possible risk factors.

Introduction: The menisci play a major role in the protection of the knee against osteoarthritis. A medial meniscus (MM) tear occurring in a stable knee is more at risk of repair failure than a suture concomitant with reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament.

Hypothesis: The survival of MM sutures in stable knees depends on the type of lesion.
