Objectives: To assess the incidence and clinical findings associated with the presence of ammonium urate urolithiasis in dogs with congenital portosystemic shunts.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective review of dogs diagnosed with extrahepatic portosystemic shunts or intrahepatic portosystemic shunts in 15 referral hospitals between 2010 and 2023. Data including signalment, clinical signs, physical examination findings and clinicopathologic test results at the time of the diagnosis were collected, and the presence of ammonium urate urolithiasis was recorded.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to analyze a rare and under-reported complication of abdominal liposuction and the role of laparoscopy.

Clinical Case: We report a case of bowel perforation after 7 days of abdominal liposuction and bilateral mastopexy. The patient presented clinical and radiological findings of bowel obstructive syndrome and bilateral peripheral pulmonary embolism.

Background: Dupuytren contracture (DC) is a fibrocontractile disease of the palms, affecting approximately 4% of the population, while psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease, affecting 2% of the population. Through clinical observation in our psoriasis clinic, we found an apparent increased prevalence of DC in patients with psoriasis compared with the general population. This has not previously been statistically verified in a clinical study.
