Background: Sexual harassment (SH) and Gender discrimination (GD) faced by medical students have been neglected areas of study in India. Only a few recent studies could be found, despite frequent media reports on SH and GD. This study aimed to assess the attitudes and perceptions of sexual harassment and gender discrimination and evaluate the forms of SH and GD experienced by them.

Background: People who use drugs (PWUD) often face restricted healthcare access despite their heightened healthcare needs. Factors such as stigma, mistrust of the healthcare system, competing priorities, and geographical barriers pose significant healthcare access challenges. Telehealth offers an innovative solution to expand healthcare access for better inclusion of underserved populations in healthcare.

The Role of Neuropsychology in Neurosurgical Care: A Review of the Literature.

In this review article, the authors describe the invaluable role that neuropsychology plays in neurosurgical care for a broad range of pathologies. As our understanding of cognitive and behavioral implications of diseases and surgical management of the brain has deepened, so has the need to preserve the quality of life for patients undergoing surgery to optimize well-being and overall survival. This article recounts the history of neuropsychology, details tools and techniques used by neuropsychologists including the neuropsychological assessment, fMRI, tractography, and awake surgery, and discusses the practical applications of neuropsychological evaluation in tumor surgery, epilepsy, deep brain modulation, and beyond.

Geo-demographic trends in nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage-related mortality among older adults in the United States, 1999-2020.

Introduction: Nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (ntSAH) often results from a ruptured aneurysm and correlates with significant morbidity and mortality, particularly among the older population. Despite its impact, limited comprehensive studies evaluate the longitudinal trends in ntSAH-related mortality in older adults in the United States (US).

Methods: The authors conducted a retrospective analysis using the CDC WONDER database from 1999 to 2020, analyzing Multiple Cause-of-Death Public Use death certificates to identify ntSAH as a contributing factor in the death of adults aged 65 years and older.

Objective: Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography/Computed Tomography (SPECT/CT) is emerging as a valuable imaging test for identifying pain generators within the lumbar spine. The relationship between radiotracer uptake on SPECT/CT and anatomic biomechanical parameters has not been previously studied.
