Inferior vena cava reconstruction with non-fascial autologous peritoneum: Retrospective study and literature review.

Background: Inferior vena cava (IVC) resection is essential for complete (R0) excision of some malignancies. However, the optimal material for IVC reconstruction remains unclear. Our objective is to demonstrate the efficacy, safety, and advantages of using Non-Fascial Autologous Peritoneum (NFAP) for IVC reconstruction.

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy in Patients Over 60 Years Old: A Long-Term Follow-Up.

This study analyzed the safety and effectiveness of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) in patients over 60 years old, in a long-term follow-up, in a high-volume bariatric center. We retrospectively analyzed all patients older than 60 years who underwent LSG in our center from January 2009 to December 2018. A prospectively collected database of 4991 consecutive LSG cases was reviewed.

Laparoscopic transperitoneal hernia repair (TAPP) in emergency: long-term follow-up in a high volume centre.

Purpose: Aim of this study was to analyse feasibility, safety and effectiveness of laparoscopic transperitoneal hernia repair (TAPP) approach to inguinal hernias in the emergency setting, with a longer follow-up than the studies present in literature.

Methods: We retrospectively analysed all patients who underwent emergency TAPP hernia repair in San Marco Hospital (Zingonia, Italy), from September 2010 to June 2020. A prospectively collected database of 685 consecutive TAPP hernia repair was reviewed.
