Background: We aimed to estimate the incidence and to assess the risks factors associated with pancreatic cancer (PC) in people with HIV (PWH).
Setting: We used electronic medical record data from 2009 to 2020 available in the COREVIH Ile-de-France Est database of PWH treated in Paris' public hospitals.
Methods: We analyzed data on patient demographics, treatment history, and immuno-virologic status.
Rift Valley fever (RVF) is an arboviral zoonotic disease affecting many African countries with the potential to spread to other geographical areas. In this chapter we describe the use of a replication-competent recombinant (r)RVFV expressing NanoLuc Luciferase (Nluc) for in vitro studies. The determination of parameters such as neutralizing antibodies in serum samples, or the antiviral activity of drugs is usually carried out using standard assays based on the assessment of cytopathic effect on cell cultures.

It is unknown whether the Sun can generate superflares and, if so, how often they might occur. We used photometry from the Kepler space observatory to investigate superflares on other stars with Sun-like fundamental parameters.

The RVFV genome consists of three single-stranded, negative-sense RNA segments differing in size: small (S), medium (M), and large (L). Segment S encodes the virus nucleoprotein N and the virulence-associated factor non-structural (NSs) protein in opposite orientations, separated by an intergenic region (IGR).

Pork bellies with different fat levels (low 'LF', medium 'MF' and high 'HF') were selected from slaughtering houses and directly transferred to the laboratory. The sliced bellies were packed in modified atmosphere packages with high oxygen levels (80 %) and the essential visual and olfactory characteristics, microbiological load, pH, lipid oxidation and colour values were assessed throughout 20 days of refrigerated storage.
