Screening for spondyloarthritis in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) can be associated with various musculoskeletal (IBD-MSK) manifestations that could be difficult to classify for gastroenterologists. We aimed to evaluate the characteristics of patients with IBD-MSK and the prevalence of spondyloarthritis (SpA). In this observational cross-sectional study, we included patients with IBD-MSK complaints (peripheral or back pain).

Evaluation of the prevalence of musculoskeletal conditions in consecutive patients with skin psoriasis: a descriptive cross-sectional study.

The association between psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and psoriasis is well known, but some have suggested that other musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions might also be more common in patients with skin psoriasis compared with the general population. The aim of our study was to describe the prevalence of a large panel of MSK conditions, in consecutive patients with psoriasis according to skin phenotype. This was a cross-sectional study.

[Cutaneous manifestation of lymphoid variant of hypereosinophilic syndrome: One case].

Introduction: Lymphoid hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is a reactive HES, related to the presence of an abnormal circulating T cell clone. Cutaneous manifestations are frequent and sometimes inaugural, however few studies describe them specifically.

Case Report: We report the case of a 63-year old patient, in good general condition, with no previous history and taking no treatment, who was being followed for non-specific skin lesions.

Hyperphosphatemic Familial Tumoral Calcinosis With Mutation: Transient Response to Anti-Interleukin-1 Treatments.

Hyperphosphatemic familial tumoral calcinosis (HFTC) is a rare autosomal recessive disease caused by mutations in genes involved in phosphate homeostasis and characterized by high serum phosphate concentration and occurrence of ectopic calcifications. Management of the disease includes lowering of phosphate concentration and, when clinically necessary, debulking surgery of calcifications. In addition, high inflammatory disease flares can occur.
