Susceptibility to antibiotics of Ureaplasma urealyticum strains isolated in Primorye Region and its changes were evaluated. Among the sexually transmited diseases urogenital ureaplasmosis has the leading position in combination with gonorrhoea, trichomoniasis and infections caused by opportunistic pathogens. The spectrum of investigated antibacterial agents included gentamycin, clarithromycin, roxythromycin, azithromycin, doxycycline, three fluoroquinolones of II generation and for cephalosporins of the I and III generations.

Analysis of the immune and biochemical reactions in the examinees has shown a marked reduction of adenyl nucleotides in the leukocytic suspension and neutrophils of patients with a mycotic infection as against those with true eczema. The lowest creatine phosphate levels were detected in the leukocytic suspension and neutrophils of the patients suffering from eczema etiologically related to mycosis and exudative mycosis of the soles.

The best effect was achieved when such therapy was combined with oral griseofulvin in glabrous skin microsporosis. The effect of treatment of mycosis of the hairy part of the head was less marked.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThirty-five patients with squamous-hyperkeratotic mycoses and onychomycoses were examined, as were 68 ones with exudative mycoses of the soles and 97 ones with disseminated eczemas. The following tests have been employed in the study: direct and indirect leucocyte migration inhibition, investigation of the lymphocyte functional activity, skin test with fungal antigen, quantitation of the absolute counts of lymphocytes, neutrophils and phagocytizing neutrophils, T and B rosette forming cells. Patients with mycoses of the soles with involvement of the nail plates, as well as those suffering from eczemas combined with mycoses developed a most marked reduction of the activity of the leukocyte migration inhibition factor (LMIF) and of the T lymphocyte mediator activity in the presence of the fungal antigen.
