Article Synopsis
  • The study evaluated three single-use wound adhesives (Indermil, Liquiband, and Dermabond) for their usability, pain level during application, bonding time, and effectiveness in wound closure.
  • The research was conducted in a busy pediatric emergency department with a sample of 63 children needing tissue adhesive for lacerations, mainly on the scalp.
  • Results showed that while all adhesives performed adequately, Liquiband had the lowest pain score and was favored for ease of use, but Indermil had a perfect success rate in wound closure.
