Objectives: To investigate the impact of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) on 30-day mortality following cardiac surgery and develop a machine learning model to predict SIRS.
Design: Retrospective cohort study.
Setting: Single tertiary care hospital.
Tunable quantum materials hold great potential for applications. Of special interest are materials in which small lattice strain induces giant electronic responses. The kagome compounds AVSb (A = K, Rb, Cs) provide a testbed for electronic tunable states.

The method involves a multiphase system wherein the biological material is separated from a second aqueous solution by a boundary that transfers pressure and heat but not mass. The pressure within the system is passively increased by the confined growth of ice within the secondary solution.

Although the cryopreservation of coral sperm and larvae has been achieved, preservation of coral fragments including both its tissue and skeleton, has not.
