Introduction: Internal fixation in not-comminuted oblique and transverse olecranon fractures is commonly performed with tension band wiring. However, despite its high healing rate, this technique is associated with a high rate of complications, often requiring the removal of fixation devices in up to 80 % of cases. The aim of our study was to describe a surgical technique using eyelet pins that maintains the effectiveness of the classic tension band wiring while reducing intolerance or displacement of the fixation devices.

Materials And Methods: 7 radiological parameters to be analysed on CECT scans were established, exams of 36 patients with proven diagnosis of NF (n 12) and other musculoskeletal infections (n 24) were retrospectively reviewed; LRINEC score was calculated. Fisher's test and Spearman's and Kendall's coefficients of rank correlations were performed.
The authors report a case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (lymphoplasmocytoid type) arisen on the gastric stump of a patient operated 18 years before according to Billroth II gastric resection for peptic ulcer. They underline the extraordinary rarity of the event because this type of neoplasia never arises on the gastric stump, where would be more likely to find, due to irritative chemical stimuli of the biliary reflux, phenomena of intestinal metaplasia or severe dysplasia highly predisposing to adenocarcinomas. Furthermore, they stress the importance of a "deep" bioptic examination for a diagnosis as early as possible of this type of pathology.
