Pachydermoperiostosis or primary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy is a rare disorder with autosomal inheritance. It is characterized by finger clubbing, periostosis and sometimes skin changes as pachydermia. It occurs more commnly in young and male subjects.

Method: Between April 1997 and January 2001, 400 patients underwent LAGB.
Study Aim: Laparoscopic gastric banding for morbid obesity is noninvasive and reversible. The aim of this prospective study was to report the preliminary results of this procedure in the first 300 patients.
