Objectives: Even though France faces few severe infections due to carbapenem-producing Enterobacterales (CPE), inter-regional epidemic stages render their dissemination a cause for considerable concern. CPE reporting relies in France on three non-exhaustive monitoring systems (MS): an early-alert system, a nationwide passive surveillance system and the National Reference Centre. We aim to estimate the number and incidence of CPE-related infections in France in 2020 and to identify any overlap between the three systems to determine whether their continued use still serves a purpose.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate factors associated with daptomycin consumption in French healthcare facilities (HCF) between 2019 and 2020.

Methods: Antibiotic consumption expressed as number of defined daily doses (DDD) per 1,000 patient-days (PD) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) expressed as incidence densities per 1,000PD were extracted each year from the nationwide surveillance network run by the SPARES project (Surveillance and Prevention of Antimicrobial RESistance in hospitals), collecting data at ward level among voluntary HCFs using standardized methodology and webtool. All HCF participating both in 2019 and 2020 were included.

Objectives: Early rehabilitation management of septic arthritis in the native knee is not standardized. In this context, it is necessary to develop and validate an early rehabilitation strategy.

Materiel And Methods: Based on the formalized HAS consensus method, a 4-phase rehabilitation strategy has been developed: recovery of joint amplitudes, muscle recovery without resistance, recovery with technical aid (crutches, canes), continuation of the rehabilitation (pursuit of muscle, articular, proprioceptive and endurance recovery).

Multinational surveillance programmes for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are dependent on national structures for data collection. This study aimed to capture the diversity of national MRSA surveillance programmes and to propose a framework for harmonisation of MRSA surveillance. The International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) MRSA Working Group conducted a structured survey on MRSA surveillance programmes and organised a webinar to discuss the programmes' strengths and challenges as well as guidelines for harmonisation.

Transcutaneous bone biopsy (TCB) is the gold standard for taking microbiological specimens in diabetic foot osteomyelitis (DFO), but this technique is not widely used in diabetic foot care centers. We aimed to evaluate the reliability of per-wound bone biopsy (PWB) cultures by comparing them with concomitant TCB cultures obtained through healthy skin. This is a prospective monocentric study including patients seen in consultation for clinical and radiological diabetic foot osteomyelitis with positive probe-bone tests between April 2015 and May 2018.
